Grease Injection Head
The Omega PCE’s Grease Injection Head is designed to contain well pressure whilst running braided cable into or out of the well.
It is made up of two main sub-assemblies, the pack off/line wiper assembly and the flow tube assembly. The pack off/line wiper assembly provides sealing capabilities when the wire is stationary.
Dual pack offs are available for higher well pressures. The line wiper is energised to clean the wire when pulling out of the well. The flow tube assembly is made up of a number (dependant on well pressure) of close tolerance flow tubes which are sized to the diameter of the wire being used.
Grease is then pumped into the annular void between the flow tube bore and wire creating a pressure drop across each flow tube. It is available in a full range of pressure ratings and quick unions.
- To create a seal around a moving or static wire.
- Incorporating a stuffing box and line wiper with grease return point below the line wiper to facilitate as environmentally friendly an operation as possible.
- Concentric style flow tubes are available in all required line sizes allowing as tight a fit to the wire as possible keeping grease use to a minimum.
- Available with various flow tube configurations for use up to 15,000psi.
- Single or dual injection designs available.
- Ball check valve design.
- Line size kit supplied to suit customer requirement from 3/16” – 9/16” wire.
